Weekly guided meditations

Wednesdays, 5pm
USC, 5th Floor
Interfaith Center

Run by students — all are welcome.

Whether you've never meditated or have an established practice, this is a good place. Most of us spend a lot of energy trying to improve ourselves but then neglect looking at the thing doing the improving.

Each session is guided by a GW student, and the meditations themselves are inspired by various traditions—notably Theravada Buddhism. Styles will vary by week, but it is likely to be a mix of koans (contemplative riddles), metta (compassion development), and body scanning. Each session begins with an introduction, but there's no "right" way to meditate. If that sounds interesting, it'd be great to see you Wednesday.
